Brea Tree Lighting
December 8th, 6:30pm @ Civic and Cultural Center
Light up the holiday at the City of Brea’s annual tree lighting celebration. Live music and entertainment will put everyone in the holiday mood. Watch the holiday tree light up the evening and see children’s eyes sparkle when Mr. and Mrs. Santa drop in for a visit. Pictures with Santa are available for a fee. Cookies and hot chocolate will be served. Admission is free.
City of Tustin Tree Lighting
December 9th 4pm-9pm @ Tustin Library
Event features the Tustin Family & Youth Center Kids Preschool, Tustin Dance Center, HBP Dance Extreme, Academy of Dance, Letters to Santa, Craft area, and pictures with Santa. Free admission. Refreshments will be sold by the Tustin Community Foundation.
December 1-23 @ Irvine Park Railroad
‘Tis the season for Irvine Park Railroad’s annual Christmas Train. Come with family and friends and take this enchanting night ride through historic Irvine Regional Park to meet Santa Claus. The train will depart from the brightly-lit train station and drop passengers off at the North Pole. Children can share their wish list with Santa and have their photo taken with him too. You may take pictures with your personal camera or you may purchase a photo taken by Irvine Park Railroad.

The Magic of Christmas features state of the art 45-foot LED walls, over 6,000 costumes and 30 festive scene changes. Creatively produced and choreographed, these ‘fun for the whole family’ musical numbers range from hip-hopping penguins, dancing Santas, and The Nutcracker Suite, to Toyland, The Polar Express and Christmas choral music including Handel’s Messiah.
Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight

Sleeping Beauty and Her Winter Knight is based on the European fairytale where a Princess called Aurora has a curse put on her by an evil fairy Carabosse. By her 18th birthday, Aurora will prick her finger on a spindle and fall asleep for 100 years. The Royal family live under the protection from Silly Billy and Nanny Tickle but Aurora does prick her finger and falls asleep for 100 years. A handsome Prince saves the day by defeating the wicked fairy and giving Aurora a true love kiss.
American Ballet Theatre The Nutcracker

An irresistible Southern California tradition returns as American Ballet Theatre and Segerstrom Center for the Arts present Alexei Ratmansky’s sumptuous production of The Nutcracker. A cast of more than 100 performers will take audiences on a dreamlike adventure, amid colorful, larger-than-life scenery, dancing toy soldiers, mischievous mice, sparkling snowflakes, and a glittering Christmas tree! Audiences will be thrilled by ABT’s most celebrated dancers and delighted by sets and costumes by Tony®-winning designer Richard Hudson as the ballet unfolds to Tchaikovsky’s beloved score.
